As a result of the surge in Covid cases, the Norwegian Synod in Trondheim introduces new measures, [Vart Land](https://www.vl.no/nyheter/2021/11/10/kirkemotet-innforer-koronatiltak-etter-okende-smitte-i-trondheim/) reports.
At the six-day Synod, which has started this Thursday, members have to sit on permanent seats with extra distance between each other. “In addition, we will follow recommendations and any orders from the municipal doctor”, Ingeborg Dybvig, communications director in the Church Council, writes to Dagen.
About 150 to 200 people are estimated to be present at the meeting of the highest democratically elected body in the Church of Norway.
Last year, the Synod was shorter, and committee meetings were skipped. This year, the rules are a little bit freer, even though infections are surging in Trondheim, and the county doctor urged people to tighten infection control.
